This is a real life experience,...not a chat log or such.
But this guy called Wade hands me this DVD called 'blood in blood out'. He says to me "I burnt it the same as my other ones,..but it doesn't seem to work in my dvd player."
Two weeks later I open my briefcase and notice it still sitting there. I have a few spare hours so I decide to watch it, as soon as I take the dvd out of the case I realize his problem; he wrote the name on a piece of paper and cut it out and then used like 5 layers of tape to stick it to the dvd. I pop it in my laptop, makes a heck of a noise and doesn't work, i peel the tape off and it works fine.
What an idiot.
Duck tape... Finally something it cant fix / improve.

We dock the pirogue on a sandbar. A crowd of locals is thronging around Stiassny. She’s holding a mole-like fish that’s tiny, blind and to be frank, extremely ugly. Since we arrived in the DRC two weeks ago, Stiassny has been hoping to see this fish.
“Mondeli bureau,” says the fisherman who brought it to her, pointing to the fish. Stiassny smiles. The name translates as “white man in an office” and plays on the locals’ vision of a computer-bound Westerner: blind, albino, stunted.

[18:57] <Dr_Dos> greatest feeling in the world: adding like 5 lines of code to an existing function instead of writing a similar function that would have been 50 [18:57] <DanTheMan> I dunno man, I think an orgasm feels pretty good too

From slashdot: You can't tip strippers with dollar coins. Yeah, that pesky thong is in the way of the coin slot.

That quote is great.
Daniel Tosh said something like "Some people like to make it rain by throwing cash. I'm cheap-- I throw quarters. I like to make it hail."

At my school: Doug Morter: Also a certain departmental keg race team who had a team meeting at CoorsLab prior to the race and experimentally determined that the Slurpee straws from 7-11 are wide enough to keep Reynold's numbers low such that beer flow stayed laminar and reduced foaming.
